ABOUT DR. KALTENBAUGH

Orie Kaltenbaugh grew up in Western Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh for his under graduate degree.  He is a graduate of Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia and joined the Air Force his last year of medical school.  Dr. Kaltenbaugh spent 2 years at Mountain Home AFB as a flight surgeon where he was awarded Tactical Air Command flight surgeon of the year in 1974  before going on to the University of New Mexico for his orthopaedic surgery residency.  He spent 4 years at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska gaining experience taking care of our military and their dependents.  Dr. Kaltenbaugh has been in the Lewis-Clark Valley in his own private practice since 1990.

Dr. Kaltenbaugh is currently licensed to practice in Idaho and Washington and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  Dr. Kaltenbaugh also belongs to the Western Orthopaedic Association, the Idaho Medical Association, the Idaho Orthopaedic Society and the North Idaho Medical Society. 

Dr. Kaltenbaugh enjoys athletics and has spent countless hours volunteering his time at local sporting events providing orthopaedic care for the athletes at the University of Idaho, Lewis Clark State College, Lewiston High School and Clarkston High School.
His other personal interests are hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
